2003 La Cuvée Mesnillésime, Guy Charlemagne
A deep, smoky, creamy nose with notes of hazelnuts, grapefruit, yellow apples, matchbox and fudge. Very, very good. A lovely depth and harmony. Still very young - none was even close guessing its age or vintage - 03!
A young, perky taste with notes of yellow apples, dried up honey, oatmeal, fudge and smoke. A long, long finish with a fine acidity and a nice grapfruit bitterness. Will evolve well over the coming 6+ years. Very, very fine.
