Found this in a Enoteca in Sirnione and he owner recommended it. With some Italian delicatessen it rather overpowered them, except for the stronger cheeses.
2014 Il Nito, La Rifra
This Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Marzemino blend shows of a deep, compact, sweet nose with notes of plums, blackberries, violets and scorched earth. Large scaled and dense. Very, very good.
The taste is bold and taut with lots of sweet black fruits, some oaky notes and additional notes of sweet violets, rubber and dark chocolate. Very long, warm and rich. Definitely not for the 11% Trosseau drinking crowd. I like it.
